In the late 70's my family owned a 1959 Trumpy named Freedom. I believe it was 52'. Does anyone know what became of it? When we owned it, it was moored on the west coast of Florida and when it was sold, I believe the owners were from the east coast of Florida.

Thank you. Does it say if she survived Katrina?

The Coast Guard document was renewed in May of 2008 which would suggest that she is afloat and in use.

So interesting to find a sight like this, as I was really trying to find images of my grandfather’s Trumpy, the “Tonda,” only to remember there was a second made for him after (Tonda II), @1960. The strange truth is that my wife was born & raised in New Orleans, where it is said the first resides, now. Would love to find where the second (Tonda II) resides. I found an older, gay couple that owned her in the Catalina Island/Santa Monica, CA area, before they sold her to a wealthy guy who has a few boats in the Woods Hole area(MA). That’s the last I’d heard. They were such beautiful vessels, even with the Amish-style “double staterooms.” The previous owners sent pics, and she had a winter & summer look for the interior, but they said her upkeep (all in) was in the &250K range (captain, fuel, dry dock rehab, etc.). Have always dreamed of buying her back, but the thought of proper upkeep costs is probably more than daunting. So many have vaporized from delayed maintenance. Would love to know “Tonda II’s” status, if it is available.
