Started a new post because the last one seemed to have a whole lot of coding mess beneath.
In the back of our boatyard we have what seems to be an older Trumpy. It measures 57' in length, has a plaque "Designed & Built By John Trumpy & Sons Annapolis, MA' and the only other information I can pull off of the vessel is the boat name 'DIGAS' from St. Petersburg, Florida. A vehicle registration certificate from Florida was found in the boat, however, it is for a different vessel. We presume however, it is of the same owner which is Weiner.
I saw someone was able to actually give the last post a bit of information based on the boat name and was wondering your source for getting that info.
Or are there any known locations that I can an ID number etched into the boat, as there appears to be no visible hull number. The plaque offers no help.
I'm grateful for any help at all!
Thank you in advance, Shaun Rose

The vessel in question is likely O/N 288788 which is Trumpy contract # 404 built in 1962 as "Westerly" for J.W. West. She is indeed a 57' cruiser. Her last documented owner is listed as Mel Israel, hailing port Long Branch New Jersey. The documentation expired in Jan 2008. Her former names, oldest to newest, in addition to "Westerly" are: "Palma", "Rapport", "Windrush", "Sabrina", "Digas" and "Patriot"
Where is she located? What condition is she in? Can you post or e-mail a current photo to me? Thanks, Eric Horst

She's currently located on land at LBW in South Amboy, NJ. She was brought in 7 years ago under her own power at which point the owner has told us they were going to undergo a restoration process. It looks like (maybe) a day of restoration was put into the boat before they decided to go against it. At some point the owners had built another control center on top of the previous one, which was sawed off restoring the boat to it's original height. One trumpy enthusiast who came to see the boat told me the hull was in pretty decent shape for it's age and only a handful of planks would need to be redone. It truly needs a lot of love and restoration. I'll add photos shortly.
Also, thank you so much for the information. We couldn't pick up a specific year, only a general area of late 50's to early 60's. Your help is much appreciated.
