58' Trumpy Cruiser named Diga's looks like early 70's sister ship to Claudette. I am about to buy her she has been out of the water for five years. And still a beauty. Does anyone know any history about this boat? Thanks Don in NJ

OK, I found her. She was contract #404, originally 'Westerly" built for JW West in 1962. Doc# 288788. Currently documented as "Patriot" hailing port of Long Branch, NJ.

Don, I researched the known boats online and saw the former name listed. I am in the boat biz so I do this sort of thing now and then. I like tracking down the history of significant boats. There are directions for posting pictures to this site. Its a bit complicated but is do able. If you can't figure it out, e-mail the photos to me and I wil post them here for you. My e-mail is eric@bayport.biz Good luck with the purchase!

BTW- John Ward West, the original owner was from Homer, NY which is near the finger lakes, and the boat was home port registered Rochester, NY. Hope that helps in your research.
