i am the new owner of M/Y Absolute a 63' Trumpy house boat built in 1970. i am trying to confirm lineage i purchased the boat from a Mr Huey of Tampa who purchased it from Mr Lykes, which of the Lykes i do not know. i would like to know if Lykes were the original owners. and if Absolute was the original Name of this vessel.

A Coast Guard abstract of title will list all documented boat names and owners. $25. available online from www.uscg.mil/hq/g-m/vdoc/nvdc.htmGood luck with your new boat. I looked at her online many times hoping that somoene would come to her rescue. Let us know if we can help with her restoration.

According to the Trumpy book, her original name was "Galpo" built for Bayard Sharp who owned her until 1989. Next oner was Peter Vogel who named her "Broadview" Next owner listed is Robert C. Wooten in 1991 who named her "Absolute"
Was she floating again when you bought her, or was she still ashore? If still ashore, what sort of work did you do to her to get her back in the water and seaworthy? Where is she now?
