"Litchfield Lady" is a 71' Houseboat, contract # 380 built 1958 as "Aurora" for John Trumpy. She is the only modern boat with a clipper bow and fantail stern. She enjoys the best of care and in in excellent condition.

[I crewed on this boat many years back. It is one of the finest examples of a Trumpy around. Fantail stern is great for evenings on the water.
Every inch of her is perfect. It was a wonderful boat to work with. I know that is was ran aground in Florida many years back, and underwent a complete overhaul. Currently runs allison diesels, and all the chrome, wood, and paint was fresh as ever. Handled great, left very little in the way of a wake. For a boat this size she glided through the water. It was a joy to be a member of the crew

Litchfield Lady has spent time in Wickford Harbor (RI) if I'm not mistaken. Often admired her at the dock, never seen her underway.

She enjoys the best of care and in in excellent condition. Aurora is wonderfully cared for. I have often seen her in Boca Grande and I never tire of seeing her. In regards to the clipper bow and fantail - The old Maemere, now the High Spirits, was originally built at 110' with a plumb bow but when she was found with excessive dry rot in her stem, the bow was replaced and a clipper bow was added. The new bow in fact added 2 more feet to her loa. So there is another Trumpy with a clipper bow and fantail stern though John Trumpy didn't design it that way.
